Success Story – Nov – Mr. Villareal

Mr. Villarreal came to Spanish Hills Wellness Suites after being treated at the hospital for an infection. On arrival he exhibited declines in strength, ADLs, and functional mobility. His dramatic decline in physical condition made his wife very fearful that he would not be able to return home.

Through daily participation with his therapy team, Mr. Villarreal worked very hard to improve his physical function. His wife was always present by his side motivating him to walk and participate in self-care activities. Over several weeks he gradually made improvements with all his therapy goals and was able to perform all his self-care tasks and walk with a walker with supervision. Mr. Villarreal and his wife were very happy to be able to safely return home together before the holidays.
